Industry applauds latest CDC guidelines for travel

Travel industry groups welcomed the CDC's relaxation of travel guidelines for fully vaccinated Americans with open arms on Friday but cautioned that it is only the beginning of the full resumption of travel and more still needs to be done.
Under the new guidelines, fully vaccinated individuals can resume domestic travel provided they wear masks and continue to socially distance. Further, the guidelines relax testing and quarantine guidelines among fully vaccinated travellers.

What is considered essential activity under Ontario's stay-at-home order

The province has enacted another stay-at-home order as Ontario faces a third wave mainly driven by more transmissible and more deadly COVID-19 variants.
The order came into effect on Thursday, April 8 and will last for at least four weeks.
It says people cannot leave home, except for about nearly 30 essential reasons.

Hornblower Group recently announced the acquisition of another day-tour operator, Walks, and said it is rebranding its growing portfolio of 25 day-cruise and water- and land-based excursion operators under one new brand called City Experiences.
The move follows the recent acquisition by the company of three cruise excursion companies, including the troubled ShoreTrips, a leading independent provider of commissionable cruise excursions that shuttered during the pandemic owing more nearly $5 million in refunds for customer payments on canceled trips.

Everyone over the age of 18 in the province's hardest hit neighbourhoods will be prioritized for a COVID-19 shot as part of Phase 2 of the province's vaccine distribution plan, Premier Doug Ford said Wednesday.
Ford made the announcement during a news conference at Queen’s Park on Wednesday afternoon, where he declared another state of emergency in Ontario and a month-long stay-at-home order to curb rising community transmission of the novel coronavirus.
