Don't miss Tuesday's session on how bus operators can help end human trafficking
OMCA
This free training event, happening this Tuesday from 10am-2pm, is ideal for coach operators, safety managers, supervisors, and directors. A half-day summit hosted by the Ontario Office of the Attorney General, the TAT Canada Committee, the Ontario Motor Coach Association, and Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT). The event brings together key trucking, truck stop, bus, and energy industry stakeholders, with local, provincial, and federal law enforcement and government agencies to work together to close loopholes to traffickers. The training will feature a Human Trafficking 101 presentation by the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, information on training resources for trucking, truck stop, bus (charter, transit and school), energy companies, a presentation by a survivor-leader/field trainer and a law enforcement panel. The law enforcement panel will delve deeper into trends officers are seeing locally, share case studies, discuss victim-centred approaches and offer recommendations for industry partners wanting to get involved.
