Long-time OMCA staff member Ann Fairley passed away on Sunday, May 14. She had been diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2013 and after a long and courageous fight that saw her beat the odds and live well beyond the original prognosis, she passed away peacefully in her home town in New Brunswick with her family and friends around her.
Ann joined OMCA in 1997 and during her time with the association she made many close friendships with people throughout our industry. She will be missed by all those who came to know and love her.
A celebration of her life will be held today, Friday, May 19, at York Funeral Home with the Rev. Joanne Barr officiating. For those not able to attend in person, the funeral home is able to broadcast the service on their website at www.yorkfh.com (select "Funeral Webcast" on right-hand-side menu; starts apprx. 5 minutes prior to service).
Donations in lieu of flowers are to be made to the Chalmers Foundation; funeral home can assist in making these arrangements. Condolence cards may be sent to Ann's sister Ella Nason at 11 Tapley Court, Fredericton, NB, E3A 5B6, Canada.
