OMCA President Doug Switzer was elected to the Board of the Travel Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) at its AGM on Thursday, June 1. TIAO represents businesses and organizations from across the spectrum of the travel and tourism industry in Ontario and OMCA has been a strong supporter of the organization for a number of years.
Switzer responded to his election by saying "OMCA's motto is 'Better Together' and I very much believe in that. We can make a difference for the tourism industry if we all work together, and that's why I'm pleased to be able to have the opportunity to work more closely with our industry partners through TIAO."

Ian McMillan, Tourism Sault St. Marie's executive director, sees plenty of early signs that Sault Ste. Marie will enjoy a strong tourism season this year.
