OMCA would like to advise members when obtaining new PRP plates, the "PRP" lettering on the far left side of the plate need not be present for the plate to be compliant. The Ontario Ministry of Transportation has confirmed that the cab card and permit are the proof of the IRP registration; as long as these documents are in the vehicle there is no risk of fine in Canada or the U.S. for this specific issue.

The demolition of the York-Bay-Yonge ramp is now complete. Work started on April 17 and has been completed ahead of schedule. We appreciate the patience of residents and businesses in the neighbourhood during this work.
With the old ramp now demolished, the contractor has moved forward to complete the construction of the new ramp. Last year, four of the five piers (or bridge support structure) for the new ramp were built. To complete the construction of the new ramp, the contractor will be adding new girders (steel beams) to form the shape of the new ramp; when those pieces have been installed, the contractor will then install rebar and fill the form with concrete and install the de-icing mechanisms and lastly add asphalt.
