OMCA
Dave Carroll, who has been a cornerstone of OMCA and Motor Coach Canada, is officially retired as of June 29, 2016. After some 16 years of making the bus industry a better place to work for all of us, Dave is moving on to the next phase of life, being able to spend more time with his wife and family, and travelling the world. There's no doubt that we're all going to miss Dave a lot, but we all wish him well in his well-deserved retirement.
In his place, we have been able to find an outstanding individual to step in and take on the almost impossible task of taking on Dave's role within the organization.
Jennifer Fox is the newest addition to OMCA, as Director of Regulatory Affairs, and for the past ten years she has been working for the Ontario Trucking Association and the Canadian Trucking Alliance, primarily dealing with border issues. She brings to the table not only a good understanding of commercial vehicle operations as well as association management, but a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to providing service for members.
Jennifer may be reached at jennifer@omca.com or 416-229-6622 x230.

One of the four new GO Transit stations officially announced for Toronto's east end will be a hub for transit and employment in the area, Mayor John Tory said.
Tory said the East Harbour station, to be located at the Don Yard and Unilever area between Cherry Street and Eastern Avenue, near the Don Valley Parkway and Lake Shore Boulevard, will be important because it will connect to the proposed Downtown Relief Line, and provide transit for employees who will work at new businesses expected to locate at the site in the future.

Canadian hedge fund West Face Capital is pushing SNC-Lavalin Group to sell its stake in Ontario's 407 toll highway, a move that could fetch the engineering and construction company more than $5 billion, according to two sources familiar with the process.
West Face is an SNC shareholder but has not disclosed the size of its holding. SNC owns about 17 per cent of the 407, which many investors see as a non-core asset.
