New bus route will take people in Ontario directly to this popular tourist attraction

People in Ontario will be able to take a bus from Toronto to visit the famous Bruce Peninsula Grotto in Tobermory, Ont. for the first time this summer.
Parkbus, a not-for-profit providing bus transportation from major cities to nearby parks and conservation areas, announced its weekend schedule for the summer, and included the new route.

New tax on visitors to Burlington will help drive more tourism

A new tax on visitors to Burlington will be used to encourage more people to visit the city. Burlington City Council approved a Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) for stays in hotels and motels to boost tourism efforts in the city. Guests staying in accommodations in Burlington hotels and motels will pay four per cent more beginning Oct. 1.

Forest the Canoe founders present new tours across Northern Ontario

FedDev Ontario announces over $12.2 million to support economic development in greater Kawarthas region

The federal government has announced over $12.2 million for 33 tourism, community infrastructure, and economic development projects in Peterborough, Northumberland, and Kawartha Lakes.
The funding — under the Tourism Relief Fund (TTF), Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF), and Community Economic Development and Diversification (CEDD) stream — includes $2.5 million for Kawartha Ethanol Inc. in Havelock and $750,000 for The Canadian Canoe Museum.
