OMCA is looking for bus operators who would be willing to provide motor coach shuttles for the OMCA Marketplace, for evening events and transportation between the Scotiabank Convention Centre and the host hotels. Any assistance is much appreciated.

OMCA
Transport Canada is proposing to require the use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) by federally-regulated carriers and commercial vehicle drivers. ELDs will be required to electronically track Hours of Service (HOS) and demonstrate compliance. Ontario Motor Coach Association and Motor Coach Canada are asking members to provide feedback using a short six question survey.

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau
The Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario have reached a bilateral agreement that will provide more than $2.97 billion in combined funding for projects that will reduce commute times and make public transit more efficient and inclusive for people in the province.
The Government of Canada is providing Ontario with $1,486,680,000 under the new Public Transit Infrastructure Fund, and will cover up to 50 per cent of the funding needed for projects supported under this agreement.

The City of Barrie is bolstering their bus fleet thanks to a transit funding agreement between the federal, provincial and municipal governments.
The details announced recently by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau while in Barrie outlined $688 million worth of projects in five Ontario cities.

The century-old 10th Street bridge in Owen Sound is "at the end of its useful life" and will soon need to be completely replaced, says the head of the city's operations department.
Director Ken Becking said the project, which took its first major step forward at a recent council meeting, will cost roughly $5 to $10 million and will likely happen within the next five years.

Ontario is investing $20,000 through its Sport Hosting Program to support the 2016 Steve Stevens Senior National Tennis Championships, promoting athlete and sport development and contributing to the local economy.
