OMCA via MTO
The Ministry of Transportation has announced that additional online services for the International Registration Plan (IRP) community will soon be available. Online services are free, simple, quick and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Starting Oct. 30, 2017, online users will be able to complete the following transactions:
- Add Vehicle
- Replace Vehicle
- Amend Vehicle with Fees
- Amend Vehicle without Fees
Online users will be informed of the additional services by email and other carriers will be sent a notification letter with their renewal package.

An underwater commuter traffic tunnel between Detroit and Windsor, ON, has reopened after being shut down for more than a week as part of a nearly $22 million renovation project.
The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel was back open as scheduled after closing Oct. 20.
Crews are replacing the concrete ceiling and making other infrastructure improvements.

Niagara Falls Review
City council's investment in marketing efforts "continues to drive results" for tourism businesses in Niagara Falls, says Jon Jackson, executive director for Niagara Falls Tourism.
Jackson addressed councillors recently about the summer marketing campaign the agency recently concluded.
In January, council approved $300,000 in matching funds towards the campaign. The $300,000 came from the municipality's casino-hosting reserve fund, and helped promote activities to attract more visitors to the city.

The transportation authority for Laval, QC, the Societe de transport de Laval (STL), has announced the commissioning of new dedicated bus infrastructure including new stops and a new one-kilometre reserved central lane corridor. The new stops are set up at the centre of Le Corbusier Boulevard between Albert-Duquesne and du Souvenir Boulevard. STL buses serving 11 routes in total will use the new reserved corridor exclusively, noted a media statement.

Good news for bicyclists wanting to cross the Windsor-Detroit border.
Transit Windsor will soon be offering bike rack service on the tunnel bus.
Bike racks will be operational on the tunnel buses crossing between Windsor and Detroit. The new service will provide cyclists with a safe and convenient way to explore what each city has to offer.
“With all the trails on both sides of the border, including our own beautiful riverfront, we’re sure this service will be a hit with cyclists,” said Transit Windsor executive director Pat Delmore.
