The Ministry of Transportation has announced that P.R.I.D.E is an approved course provider to deliver the fleet SA recertification course. MTO has begun issuing letters to SAs that must recertify in order to retain their signing authority privileges. Some SAs are required to certify as early as January 2016. System generated notifications are sent out to both RAs and SAs who are required to complete their recertification course in the early to mid-part of 2016. SAs who fail to complete the recertification course by the due date will be suspended and will not be eligible to train and test drivers under the DCP program.

Agincourt Mall in Scarborough now allowing coaches to pick up/drop off passengers on mall property

The Agincourt Mall (between Birchmount Rd. and Kennedy Rd, north of Sheppard Ave.) is under new management and they have decided to allow motor coaches to use the north side of their parking lot (behind the Walmart store) to pick up and drop off passengers. The previous mall owner did not allow this — coaches (many of which are casino buses) had to load and unload passengers on Bonis Avenue, which generated some complaints from local residents. Coach and Tour Operators are encouraged to use this area of the mall by entering off of Bonis Ave. and leaving via Kennedy Road. Buses should refrain from loading or unloading on Bonis Avenue.

As a consolation for the lost passenger train service, the Liberals promised it would enhance the inter-city bus service offered throughout the North.
Now just three years later, the Liberals are severely reducing Ontario Northland's motor coach service throughout this region.
