Update from the OMCA Transition Committee
OMCA
The OMCA Transition Committee has been working hard to ensure we find the best leader for our association. After reviewing comparative proposals, Four Corners Group has been selected to lead our Executive Search. Four Corners was chosen for their search expertise; they also knew our business the best, understood our association’s needs and what assets were desired for our leadership. Their steps to success involve consulting the staff, the board, as well as select past and present members. They will then move forward into the candidate search and interview process. The Transition Committee will be involved in the entire process.
The staff will continue to offer you their expertise and membership services. If at any time, they need assistance, Brian Crow, former OMCA President, has been contracted to be an advisor.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the committee anytime, should you have any questions.
The Transition Committee members are:
Chair: Dave Willis, AYR Coach Lines Ltd; Marc LaPlante, 417 Bus Line Ltd.; John Crowley, Coach Canada; Stuart Kendrick, Greyhound Canada Transportation; Julie Gagnon, Jolly Tours; John Temple, Temple & Temple Tours Inc.; Kelly Dean, Ottawa Tourism; Jennifer McGregor, Niagara SkyWheel

The timing of the sale, which has coincided with optimistic news pertaining to three potential vaccines, is providing the small-group adventure with increased clarity into the booking patterns for new bookings in 2021. This has in turn presented an opportunity for agents to be capturing a bigger slice of the pie as people’s thirst for booking, and rebooking, future travel arrangements gains momentum.
