The travel industry is up against a psychological make-or-break
BNN Bloomberg
As the head of travel and tourism for Boston Consulting Group, Jason Guggenheim is used to troubleshooting on behalf of airlines and hotel companies when the road gets bumpy. Typically that means rethinking operations and carrying out restructuring efforts for sprawling resorts, cruise lines, online travel agencies, or big names in air travel. Have you downloaded the COVID Alert app?
Government of Canada
COVID Alert helps us break the cycle of infection. The app can let people know of possible exposures before any symptoms appear. That way, we can take care of ourselves and protect our communities. The COVID Alert app is an exposure notification app that tells people if they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Note that the app does NOT use GPS or track your location. Instead, it uses Bluetooth to exchange random codes with nearby phones. Let's limit the spread of COVID-19 and prevent future outbreaks. Download the free app on the App Store or on Google Play today.

Is the travel industry diverse and inclusive? It depends who you ask
Travel Weekly
Of the 423 industry professionals responding to a recent Travel Weekly survey attempting to gauge perception on the topic, 53% agreed or strongly agreed the industry is diverse and inclusive, 22% were neutral, and 17% disagreed. Among white respondents, the percentage who agreed or strongly agreed was 61%. But among the 15% of the respondents who indicated they were Black, the same percentage — 61% — disagreed or strongly disagreed that the industry is diverse and inclusive, while 23% indicated a neutral position, and 15% believe it is.
That’s quite a disconnect.
