Hamilton Spectator
From Oct. 21: Much has been written and talked about recently in the media around the shortage of drivers in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, and the impact on families who lack reliable busing. Armchair quarterbacks cast blame, each weighing in on an industry normally taken for granted until crisis strikes. I can assure you that many parents can't tell you anything about their school bus driver, their child's bus route, or which company is responsible.

Toronto Sun
From April 8: People visiting Niagara Falls are stumped about a mysterious charge that keeps appearing on their bills.
As they sit in a lobby overlooking Fallsview Boulevard, there it is on their Starbucks bill, an extra amount on top of the already inflated price they paid for coffee in the tourist district. Effective July 1, 2016, the act has been changed to:
Exempt businesses that exclusively offer one-day tours from the requirements of the

flexibility for lower risk businesses that are closely tied to government (essentially
DMOs).
Align the filing deadline for regular claims and trip completion claims at six months.

"Over the past few days, we have heard media reports as well as complaints from frustrated parents who waited for their children to be picked up or dropped off, only to have no bus show up," Paul Dubé said in a release.

CityNews
From Oct. 7: Shortly after 3-and-a-half year old Zaiden was dropped off at the wrong bus stop and had to turn to a stranger for help, his distraught parents are raising concerns over the experience of school bus drivers on our roads.
CityNews has confirmed the driver in question was taken off the job for retraining but Sharp Bus Lines, the company involved, would not say for how long. However, Carlos Oberoi, the toddler's father, claims he was told by bus company employee that the driver was suspended for just one day and was then put on a new route.
