New bus route will take people in Ontario directly to this popular tourist attraction

From July 15: People in Ontario will be able to take a bus from Toronto to visit the famous Bruce Peninsula Grotto in Tobermory, Ont. for the first time this summer.
Parkbus, a not-for-profit providing bus transportation from major cities to nearby parks and conservation areas, announced its weekend schedule for the summer, and included the new route.

The breakup comes less than a year after German-owned FlixMobility, the parent company of FlixBus USA, acquired Greyhound.

Quebec grants $22.6 million to Prevost for bus electrification

From April 8: The Quebec government is granting $22.6 million to bus manufacturer Prévost to accelerate the electrification of its vehicles.
Premier François Legault made the announcement at the manufacturer's plant in Sainte-Claire, Beauce-Appalaches, Thursday afternoon.

Ottawa clarifies ROE rules for vaccine-related dismissals

From January 7: Ottawa has clarified the rules when it comes to records of employment (ROEs) and vaccine mandates. The government is providing additional information to that provided in October.
If employees are directly affected by a lockdown as a result of COVID-19 and they’re no longer working, employers must issue an ROE.

The original demographic of bus drivers was retired people and stay-at-home parents.

Intercity bus lines begin trying out electric buses

From September 9: Battery-powered electric buses are growing in use among transit agencies, but intercity bus operators have been slower to adopt the new technology. That's beginning to change, industry leaders say. FlixBus, its partner MTRWestern and James River Transportation have recently tested fully electric motor coaches in intercity service.

Auditor's review causes city to rethink how it will buy electric buses

From September 9: A report from Ottawa's auditor general has caused the city to change its plans to switch to electric buses: from issuing its own request for proposals (RFP) to partnering with the City of Toronto.
Last summer the city announced a $1 billion plan to purchase 450 electric buses for OC Transpo's fleet by 2027 that included only buying zero-emission buses from that point on.
