AA TECH signs MRO agreement with Aero Gulf Norway

Advanced Atomization Technologies — the joint venture between Parker Aerospace and GE Aviation — has signed a multi-year maintenance support agreement with maintenance, repair and overhaul company Aero Gulf Norway to provide MRO services for CFM56 fuel nozzles in support of Aero Gulf Norway's engine overhaul shop. AA TECH will support the Aero Gulf Norway engine shop through Parker Aerospace's Customer Support Operations fuel nozzle repair facility in Glendale, Arizona.More

FAA to begin evaluation of unleaded avgas

The FAA is about to begin the next step in its search for an unleaded general aviation fuel through the Piston Aviation Fuels Initiative. The FAA announced it has received nine replacement fuel proposals from producers Afton Chemical Company, Avgas LLC, Shell, Swift Fuels and a consortium of BP, TOTAL and Hjelmco, for further evaluation in the PAFI, an industry-government initiative designed to help the general aviation industry transition to an unleaded aviation gasoline. Airbus's board of directors has made an "unconditional and unanimous" decision to launch the re-engined, extended-wing A330neo widebody family that will be cheaper to buy and operate than the Boeing 787, Airbus executives declared at the Farnborough International Airshow. The most interesting aircraft is the Transformer, a stealth aircraft that turns into three smaller planes to destroy whatever villain dares to attack it.
