Fashion Show added to PPAMS MidSouth PromoShow schedule
The Power Lunch, held during the PPAMS MidSouth PromoShow, will feature a fashion show of industry apparel and accessories. The lunch event will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, the same day as the professional development seminars and Hall of Fame and Awards Gala. PPAMS selects new host hotel for MidSouth PromoShow
The Millennium Maxwell House has been selected as the official host hotel for the PPAMS MidSouth PromoShow, scheduled for Feb. 11-12, 2015 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The hotel is offering PPAMS attendees a rate of $119, which includes free parking. Less than 10 minutes from the Music City Center, the Millennium Maxwell House is a distinctive hotel, set near the center of downtown Nashville. US diplomat lauds revamp of Bangladesh apparel sector
Since the Rana Plaza building collapse and Tarzeen factory fire, noteworthy progress has been made in overhauling the Bangladesh garment sector, U.S. assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asian Affairs, Nisha Desai Biswal said while in Dhaka.
Speaking to the media before embarking for Uzbekistan, Biswal said, “The Rana Plaza tragedy has seen real effort in transforming the industry and if Bangladesh can surmount the challenges, it will be considered a remarkable transformation.”
