High losses from 2011 are producing greater underwriting discipline among reinsurers when it comes to catastrophe-exposed renewals, according to a major insurance broker. TSA detection officer who aided drug smugglers sentenced

The TSA security officer who helped smugglers run drugs through a Buffalo, N.Y., airport was sentenced to two years in prison on conspiracy charges on Jan. 4. In addition to the 24-month sentence, Minnetta Walker, 44, will also be subject to a year supervised release after her prison sentence, said the FBI in a Jan. 4 statement. More
