Batavia City Council in New York, has agreed to take its concern about sex offender laws to the governor. The city leaders decided to send a formal request for help to Gov. David Paterson. The Durango City Council in Colorado unanimously passed another emergency marijuana ordinance, this time because of emerging concerns about growers of the pharmaceutical plant. The ordinance prevents new applications for business licenses and will not affect current marijuana patients or dispensaries and growing operations currently operating.
