Avcorp Industries to supply parts for Chinook Helicopters

Avcorp Industries recently announced that it has received a purchase contract from The Boeing Company for the production and supply of tunnel cover assemblies for the CH-47 Chinook Helicopters. Each shipset of Tunnel Covers consists of several large and complex metal bonded aerostructures. These tunnel covers act as access covers to the driveshaft, which runs between the two main rotors of the aircraft.More

Warplanes land at the Edson Airport

You may have noticed two unusual aircraft at the Edson Airport. They were two old warplanes, both from the Harvard series. One of the pilots, Dave Watson said they were on their way to Vanderhoof, B.C., for the Vanderhoof Airshow. They were forced to land in Edson because the cloudy skies had completely reduced their visibility.More

Fisherman rescued by RCAF Cormorant helicopter crew

A Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) crew was called out to rescue a commercial fisherman. The fisherman was about 80 nautical miles west of Port Hardy when air controllers at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria, B.C., received a call that he may be experiencing a possible medical condition, and needed to be evacuated to hospital.More
