On October 13, 2018, the Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame inducted Ralph Morris Hendricks, an American who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War, as one of its laureates.
Ralph’s twin brother, Robert Henry Hendricks, was inducted into the CAHF last October. Robert died on active service, in a swimming accident, just as he was finishing flight school in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, in 1941.

It was a special Remembrance Day weekend for three veterans in Vancouver.
Geraldine Grimway, 97, Colleen DeSerres, 86 and Penny Stirling, 94, all served in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
The three are also clients of Holy Family Hospital in Vancouver, where they were honoured at a special Remembrance Day ceremony last Friday.

Some Canadian military search and rescue helicopter crews on the east coast have been temporarily relocated after asbestos dust was found in one of the buildings used by the squadron.
Crews from the 103 Search and Rescue Squadron have moved from 9 Wing Gander to St. John’s N.L. after asbestos was discovered in a hangar at the Gander facility, according to the Department of National Defence.

The Sea King retirement celebrations involve a meet and greet 30 November 2018, followed by a parade, flypast and gala dinner on 1 December — all events happening in the Victoria area as that si where the last RCAF Sea Kings will be flown. world's first air force being born on the April 1, 1918.
