The Royal Canadian Air Force concluded its participation in CRUZEX 2018 in Natal, Brazil, on November 30, following almost two weeks of training alongside members of several militaries from around the Americas.
This was the RCAF’s second time participating in CRUZEX, which was last held in 2013. Operating two CC-130J Hercules cargo aircraft, the CRUZEX Air Task Force was made up of 37 members of 436 Transport Squadron and 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, and two jumpmasters from the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC).

L’Aviation royale canadienne a conclu sa participation à l’exercice CRUZEX 2018 le 30 novembre à Natal, au Brésil, après plus de deux semaines d’instruction aux côtés de militaires de plusieurs forces armées des Amériques.
Il s’agissait de la seconde participation de l’ARC à CRUZEX, tenu la dernière fois en 2013. Équipée de deux aéronefs de transport CC-130J Hercules, la force opérationnelle aérienne qui a pris part à l’exercice se composait de 37 militaires du 436e Escadron de transport et de la 8e Escadre Trenton, en Ontario, ainsi que de deux chefs-largueurs du Centre d’instruction supérieure de l’armée canadienne (CISAC).

“Forty-nine years of blue shirts is horrible!” his wife, Winnifred, interrupted from the audience.
“Well, there you go,” Honorary Colonel Campbell said, joking that perhaps he’ll go join the Commissionaires.

The RCAF will use the opportunity to re-focus its resources to update the exercise’s mandate and to modernize the infrastructure used during the exercise.
