RVDA to launch DSI survey this week
RVDA will ask dealers to confidentially express their level of satisfaction with their manufacturers and/or specific brands in the 19th annual Dealer Satisfaction Index survey that is set to launch this week. Dealers should look for the email version of the survey starting today.More

Destination Summer heading to Travel Channel
Travel Channel is launching Destination Summer, seven new original series celebrating summer travel and activities. RVDA seeks James B. Summers Award nominations
The RVDA Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the 2012 James B. Summers Award, which honors individuals who have made a consistent and outstanding contribution to RVDA and its members. Please submit a worthy candidate, explaining what he or she has done that warrants the award. The winner will be announced during the association's annual convention in Las Vegas, which will be held Oct. 1-5. Nominations are due by May 21. Free wireless at select state parks in Alabama

With free wireless Internet now available at select Alabama State Park campgrounds, roughing it no longer means disconnecting from the modern world. Park officials have turned entire campgrounds "hot," allowing guests to stay connected while in the comfort of their own RVs. Eventually, the Alabama program is expected to provide more than 20,000 park guests with free Internet access while camping.More

Camp for free, help kids with cancer
Thousands of families will be headed to their favorite Kampgrounds of America locations May 11 for a special weekend — the official start of the summer camping season. Friday night's paying guests get Saturday night for free. And there will be events to entertain campers and help raise funds to support KOA Care Camps, specialized camps that provide a summer camp experience for children with cancer and their siblings. Last year, KOA raised more than $370,000 for the Care Camps.More
