RVDA Legislative Alert: U.S. Senate bill could impact RV financing
The U.S. Senate continues debate on financial reform legislation this week. While the majority of the reform bill deals with banks and Wall Street, a portion of the legislation would create a new consumer protection agency that could create more restrictions on RV financing and hurt RV sales. An amendment authored by Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas could exempt motor vehicles from the bill, including RVs from the bill.More

RVing: A great way to save money on your next family vacation
Many families have found RVing to be an economical way to travel with kids. According to a 2008 survey done by international travel and tourism research firm PKF Consulting, a typical family can save anywhere from 27 percent to 61 percent by taking an RV vacation compared to other types of vacations.More

Through May 31, dealers and their employees registering for the 2010 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo can save up to 55 percent on registration costs. Plus, by registering early, dealers can "lock-in" the lowest available price, and register additional employees through Aug. 31. Shares of RV makers advance
Shares of Winnebago Industries Inc. and Thor Industries Inc. rose on Monday after an analyst upgraded shares of the RV manufacturers, citing signs of improvement in the RV market. Baird analyst Craig Kennison raised his ratings on Winnebago and Thor to "Outperform" from "Neutral" in a note to investors on Monday. He said the RV market is now in "correction mode."More
