RV industry celebrates 100 years of service
On the road to success, the RV industry has seen its share of ups and downs. Monday, the RV industry marked its 100th Anniversary with a celebration in Elkhart, IN. Party-goers were able to tour some of the older RV models, while also enjoying a barbecue and a campfire, a toast to an industry on the rebound.More

Bipartisan coalition of eight U.S. Senators urge Congress to treat RV and boat dealers equitably under new Wall Street Reform Bill
A bipartisan group of eight U.S. Senators last week sent a letter to Senate Banking Chairman Christopher Dodd and House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank urging Congress to exclude RV and boat dealers from the provisions of a proposed new consumer financial regulatory entity that would be created in new legislation aimed at Wall Street and the banking industry. A new generation of Americans searching for ways to have fun in a wobbly economy is giving a boost to the 100-year-old RV industry. Some RV camps and resorts are seeing double-digit percentage jumps in occupancy and new faces, according to Linda Profaizer, president and CEO of the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds.
