GE Capital: RV dealers and manufacturers see increased sales and consumer enthusiasm

RV manufacturers are seeing double-digit growth and RV dealers are selling through products at an increasing rate, says GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance. Despite harsh weather in the spring that affected retail activity in some regions, RV dealers are turning their inventory at a healthy rate of more than 2X. "As the U.S. economy continues to experience slow and consistent growth, growing consumer confidence is spurring retail sales of RVs," says Tim Hyland, president of CDF's RV group. "We expect that the industry will remain on a growth trajectory through the 2014 selling season."More

Keystone and Dutchmen dealers eligible for certified technician scholarships

Keystone RV Company has announced the launch of a $250,000 scholarship program for Keystone and Dutchmen dealers in conjunction with the RVDA/RVIA RV Technician Certification Program. The initiative is designed to help assure the availability of certified RV technicians now and into the future. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 4.More

EverGreen scored a hit with its Lifestyle Luxury RV brand

In the year-and-a-half since EverGreen RV launched the Lifestyle brand of luxury fifth wheel recreational vehicles, it's done very well, the company reported. More than 40 percent of the units have sold, it's received recognition from RV trade publications and, following the demise of Carriage RV, the National Carriage Travel Club switched to EverGreen's Lifestyle.More
