SNEB leadership and staff hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. We are prepared to adapt Annual Conference plans, policies and published deadlines as needed while adhering to all health, safety, and travel guidelines.
In the unfortunate circumstance that a cancellation is necessary, SNEB will automatically refund 100% of registration fees within 30 days of when that decision is made. Regardless, all accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.
We are moving forward with realistic optimism that we will be able to gather this July.

SNEB
Good health is more important than ever. This week's blog delves into the intersection of COVID-19 and good health, plus COVID-19's impact on the food environment.
Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior
The JNEB editorial staff has put together a special collection featuring research articles conducted on Australian populations or by Australia-based authors, but have practical applications to nutrition professionals around the world. It's available free through February 2021.
This collection does not reflect all the authors from Australia who have published with JNEB, but rather a brief introduction to the significant work coming to us from Australia. There are also podcasts if you'd rather hear about the studies than read.
JNEB is working on a special theme issue on sustainability and editors have put out a call for all journal article types focused on reductions in food loss and waste that involve behavioral changes. If you have such an article, the deadline for submission is September 15. You can learn more about the issue and how to submit on
the Journal website.

U.S. Department of Agriculture
Right after our last issue was released, Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced emergency benefit increases reached $2 billion a month for SNAP households in every state and U.S. territory. That represents a 40% increase in overall benefits.
World Health Organization
To complement published data that are being identified via systematic searching of relevant scientific literature databases, the World Health Organization is requesting submissions of available evidence reviews for effects of policies or interventions that influence the school food environment, including grey literature or studies. Data must be submitted by June 20.
Dietary Guidelines for Americans
The 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee's (DGAC) final systematic review protocols are now posted online. Each protocol provides the literature search strategy, the list of scientific articles included in the review, and the list of articles excluded after full-text screening, with at least one rationale for exclusion. The DGAC will meet by webcast on June 8 to discuss its draft report. Registration information will be available later this month.
