For the first time, an international educational tour was offered after our Annual Conference in 2019. The five-day tour focused on learning about the food, nutrition, health care and agricultural system in the country. Join several SNEB members along with tour leader Chris Cloonan from Cuba Fame on a recap of the experience and the lessons learned. This November 26 webinar is free to members and non-members alike, so feel free to share the link with friends and colleagues.

JNEB
JNEB released its November-December issue this week, and major news outlets are already picking up on the research featured inside. Dr. Chelsea Kracht found during her doctoral research at the University of Oklahoma that only-children were significantly more likely to be overweight or obese by the time they turn 7 than children of a similar age who have siblings. Read reporting on the study from CNN and the Daily Mail, and read the entire study at JNEB's website.

JNEB is working on a special theme issue on sustainability and editors have put out a call for all journal article types focused on reductions in food loss and waste that involve behavioral changes. If you have such an article, the deadline for submission is April 15, 2020. You can learn more about the issue and how to submit on the Journal website.
