Membership renewals are open for the membership year running Feb. 1, 2020 - Jan. 31, 2021, and we're asking all our members to make the SUSTAINABLE CHOICE and help the Society SAVE RESOURCES by renewing your membership online. Members who have not renewed by the end of the week will receive a hard-copy invoice next week.

SNEB invites you to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2020 Annual Conference in San Diego, CA July 19 – July 21. Abstracts are welcome in any area of nutrition education, including those that incorporate the conference theme "What Food Future?" Please consider highlighting your innovative program or initiative, or interesting research — we welcome a diversity of issues surrounding nutrition education.

Robin Grenier, Ph.D., will review Discourse Analysis as a rigorous qualitative method with practical applications to many disciplines. Jaime Foster, Ph.D., will then discuss how Discourse Analysis was utilized for the reanalysis of a data set related to food security allowing for deeper understanding and new interpretation of findings.

One unique aspect of the store is that it is a business, not a non-profit or a cooperative.

JNEB is working on a special theme issue on sustainability and editors have put out a call for all journal article types focused on reductions in food loss and waste that involve behavioral changes. If you have such an article, the deadline for submission is April 15, 2020. You can learn more about the issue and how to submit on the Journal website.

The Wallace Center is accepting applications for the Spring 2020 round of the Community Food Systems Mentorship Program. Ten mentors will be available with a wide range of expertise and experience from community engagement to visioning and anti-racist initiatives. They will work with food systems leaders over the course of four months to support their continued growth and development as a leader. You can apply on the program's website, or sign up for an informational call about the program scheduled for Dec. 18.
