SNEB invites you to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2020 Annual Conference in San Diego, CA July 19 – July 21. Abstracts are welcome in any area of nutrition education, including those that incorporate the conference theme "What Food Future?" Please consider highlighting your innovative program or initiative, or interesting research — we welcome a diversity of issues surrounding nutrition education.
SNEB's offices will close Monday, Dec. 23 for the winter holidays and reopen Thursday, Jan. 2.

JNEB is working on a special theme issue on sustainability and editors have put out a call for all journal article types focused on reductions in food loss and waste that involve behavioral changes. If you have such an article, the deadline for submission is April 15, 2020. You can learn more about the issue and how to submit on the Journal website.

New York City, which serves 900,000 school meals a day, can successfully prepare and serve scratch cooked meals to students, according to Tisch Food Center's newest report. This is a major shift away from processed foods currently on the menu. The potential positive impacts of scratch cooking on students' diets, health, academic achievement, and sense of community are enormous.

The Wallace Center is accepting applications for the Spring 2020 round of the Community Food Systems Mentorship Program. Ten mentors will be available with a wide range of expertise and experience from community engagement to visioning and anti-racist initiatives. They will work with food systems leaders over the course of four months to support their continued growth and development as a leader. You can apply on the program's website.
