NAHB    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The National Association of Home Builders requested that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration withdraw a proposed rule that would drastically lower the permissible exposure limit of crystalline silica for the construction industry. The rule also requires impractical medical surveillance of construction industry workers, extensive and costly recordkeeping processes, and restrictions on certain construction site work practices, which contradict existing safety procedures. The Dallas Morning News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article

While the decline was tiny, it was the first dip in year-over-year pre-owned home sales in the area since early 2010. The pause on local home sales gains was probably due to winter weather that postponed some buys and a lack of houses on the market to sell, real estate analysts and agents say. More
