Sonoco Hikes Paperboard, Converted-product Prices

Sonoco will increase prices for all uncoated recycled paperboard grades in the U.S. and Canada by $50 per ton effective with shipments on Feb. 1. Stealth Branding Continues

Kleenex launched its Ultra Soft tissue brand in Europe and the U.K. with packaging that swaps the prominent Kleenex logo with the phrase "Feel me" rendered in the brand's signature script. The design highlights the Ultra Soft claim as Kleenex's "softest tissue ever" and will revert to the Kleenex logo after a six month trial. More

Packaging Likely to Remain Stable in '10

The Scunthorpe site has been expanded by 2,500m˛ and a new 2,600m˛ warehouse has been taken into operation, leading to the creation of the new positions. Mondi Packaging Wheatley is the group's specialist in NeoSteam and multilayer laminates. More

Joe Trungale's second edition, The Anilox roll – Heart of the Flexo Process, has been newly enhanced and contains an accurate historical review of the flexo printing process, anilox roll construction, information on the various methods of doctoring the ink such as rubber roll, doctor blade and the chambered doctor blade systems. While much has been written over the years about the use and care of anilox rolls, Trungale offers guidelines on cleaning anilox rolls and reviews the various cleaning methods currently being used in the industry.
