Weidenhammer reports purchase of AR units off

Germany-based Weidenhammer Packaging Group has announced that its planned acquisition of A&R Carton Lund and Flextrus has been called-off. The planned acquisition was revealed in November 2013 with Weidenhammer, a supplier of composite cans, composite drums and plastic containers, agreeing in a joint letter of intent with Sweden-based AR Packaging Group that it would purchase A&R Carton Lund and Flextrus.

Sepro America expands its presence in the West

Sepro America is feeling pretty comfortable in the western region of the U.S. Paul Rudzinski, regional sales manager for Sepro, told PlasticsToday at PLASTEC West that medical processors in California and automotive molders in Texas were actively buying robots in 2013. To meet the market demand, Sepro expanded its product line and added sales representatives. As a result, Sepro America tripled its sales in the western U.S., compared to 2012.
