Guidelines for storing and handling corrugated

According to industry numbers, corrugated is utilized for 95 percent of packaged goods, with boxes (i.e. shippers) accounting for the overwhelmingly majority of that volume. Because corrugated is hygroscopic, the relative humidity of the storage area should be maintained within favorable tolerances. Freedonia issues study on stretch and shrink film

A new study from The Freedonia Group says demand for stretch and shrink film in the U.S. is expected to grow 3.5 percent annually to $3.1 billion in 2019, driven by increasing sales of retail items, as well as increasing efficiencies in film manufacturing and layering. New squeeze bottle launches beverage additive into supplements market

Beverage additives that consumers can use to flavor their contents to flavor water have gained popularity in recent years and are now entering into other market segments, such as supplements. Linpac announces price hike

Fresh food packaging manufacturer Linpac has said that its rigid and flexible packaging prices will have to increase due to the growing costs of polymers. Bart Stubbe, director of purchasing, said: “Since March, unprecedented production issues have been reported across the European petrochemical industry, driving tight polymer supply which, when coupled with strengthening demand, has led to sharp price increases for both monomers and polymers.

Denmark-based injection molded plastic packaging firm RPC Superfos has come up with a customized pack for Inspira ice cream made by Norwegian major Hennig-Olsen. RPC Superfos, which designs and produces plastic packaging for food and non-food producers, has supplied a label having a transparent segment at the base of the pack to take a peek of the marble-like pattern of the ice cream surface.
