Survey cites pesticide concern, uncertainty

According to a new survey released Oct. 21, a majority of Americans are concerned about pesticides in their food supply. The survey of 1,000 Americans conducted by Lindberg International on behalf of Stonyfield, Londonderry, N.H., the world's leading organic yogurt maker, found that 71 percent of Americans are worried about pesticides in their food and almost three out of four respondents would like to eat food produced with fewer pesticides.

ASDA targets PET savings with lighter water bottles

ASDA has rolled out new lightweight water bottles, linking up with PET supplier. The supermarket giant has taken out 1g on the 500ml and 5.5g on the 2 liter bottles of Highland Spring and Eden Falls brands. ASDA is also set to carry out further work to lightweight the 5 liter bottle. According to ASDA, the lightweighted bottles could potentially save the supermarket 140 tonnes of PET a year.

200 million drink pouches recycled by US communities
